Pensé pour un jeune couple aimant recevoir des amis et passionné de jeux de société, le projet transforme un appartement fragmenté à la géométrie irrégulière en un espace ouvert, fluide et généreux. L’intégration des combles, ainsi que d’une partie des espaces annexes situés sur le palier, permet de repenser entièrement l’organisation du logement.

La géométrie de la toiture est mise à profit pour créer une mezzanine accueillant la chambre, tout en libérant un volume généreux pour les espaces de vie. Un grand meuble structure le projet en intégrant rangements, bibliothèque, escalier et la cuisine. Depuis l’entrée, marquée par une double hauteur et une fenêtre en toiture, un habillage en bois accompagne la circulation, dissimule les accès aux espaces de service, puis se prolonge en bibliothèque et en étagères dédiées à la collection de baskets des clients. Les ouvertures existantes en toiture sont conservées afin de renforcer la lumière naturelle et révéler toute la générosité du volume créé.

Designed for a young couple who enjoy hosting friends and board games, the project transforms a fragmented apartment with an irregular geometry into an open, fluid, and generous living space. The integration of the attic, together with part of the ancillary spaces located on the landing, made it possible to completely rethink the organization of the home.

The geometry of the roof is used to accommodate a mezzanine bedroom, freeing up a generous volume for the living areas below. A large bespoke piece of joinery structures the project, integrating storage, a library, the staircase, and kitchen into a single coherent composition. From the entrance, marked by a double-height space and a rooflight, a continuous timber cladding guides movement through the apartment, concealing access to the service spaces before extending into a library and display shelves dedicated to the clients’ sneaker collection. Existing roof openings were preserved to enhance natural light and reveal the full generosity of the newly created volume.
